Who will be helping me?
Lucinda Mackworth-Young is a leading Consultant in Psychology for Musicians and an experienced concert pianist and
teacher based in London. She works with performers, teachers, students, pupils and their parents helping them to deepen
their understanding of psychological issues and resolve a wide range of problems. Her recent book "Tuning In" shows
how to apply basic principles of psychology to music teaching, learning and performing, and has been acclaimed by
musicians all over the world as long overdue help for this critical area of their work.
But you don't have to go to London to benefit from her expertise.

How do I tell her my problems?
Visitors to PracticeSpot can email Lucinda with their problems, and we will post both questions and replies here. Anonymity is assured if requested. Unfortunately, due to the volume of mail and email Lucinda receives, it won't be possible to reply to every issue, but she will endeavour to help where she can. For those who want to apply these principles themselves, her book is available here, and comes highly recommended by PracticeSpot. (If it helps you keep one student that you might otherwise have lost, it will have paid for itself many times over!)
